Right of withdrawal at Nexthosting – 14 days and refunds
When you can withdraw from a Nexthosting contract as a consumer, how the online form works and what happens to server time you have already used.
In short
As a consumer you can withdraw from a contract concluded online within 14 days of the contract being concluded, without giving a reason – most easily at nexthosting.net/vertrag-widerrufen or by email. If you asked for your server to start immediately, you pay a pro-rata amount (compensation, “Wertersatz”) for the time used until the withdrawal. Business customers have no statutory right of withdrawal.

The deadline
Section titled “The deadline”The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded. It is enough if you send the declaration before the period ends.
How to withdraw

- Open nexthosting.net/vertrag-widerrufen – also via the link Vertrag widerrufen (“withdraw from contract”) in the footer.
- Enter your first name, last name, email address and the contract or order number. A reason is optional.
- Confirm the privacy consent and click Widerruf bestätigen (“confirm withdrawal”).
- You get a confirmation of receipt by email. Nexthosting matches the withdrawal to your contract, checks the statutory requirements and gets back to you with the result.
The form is not mandatory. You can also withdraw with a clear declaration by email or by letter to Friedl & Friedl GbR, Vetschauer Straße 19, 01237 Dresden. A model withdrawal form is in the withdrawal notice.

What happens with a valid withdrawal
Section titled “What happens with a valid withdrawal”- Refund: Nexthosting refunds all payments received without delay and at the latest within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal – minus any compensation (see below).
- Same payment method: The refund goes to the payment method you paid with, unless agreed otherwise. No fees are charged for the refund.
- Service ends: Associated services are deactivated, and the data is deleted according to the technical and contractual rules.
Compensation: if the server was already running
Section titled “Compensation: if the server was already running”A game server, webspace or VPS starts immediately after the order at your request – that is, before the withdrawal period ends. If you withdraw after that, you must pay a reasonable amount for the service provided up to then. It corresponds to the share of the service already provided compared with the total service under the contract (AGB § 6, withdrawal notice).
Example: You order a game server for one month and withdraw after 10 days. Then roughly a third of the monthly price may be due as compensation, and you get the rest back. The exact calculation depends on your contract.
When the right of withdrawal expires
Section titled “When the right of withdrawal expires”The right of withdrawal can expire before the 14 days are up:
- for services, if Nexthosting has fully performed the service after you expressly agreed that it starts before the period ends and confirmed that you lose your right of withdrawal on full performance – for example a completed server migration or a finished plugin installation;
- for digital content not on a physical medium, if performance began after you agreed and confirmed your awareness that you lose the right of withdrawal.
Anyone who books extras such as a boost, expanding the server, an own IP address or pausing is expressly asking Nexthosting to start immediately (add-on terms 9a, 9b, 9e, 9f). The right of withdrawal under section 13 of the add-on terms also applies here – with compensation for the service already provided.
